Maserati Repair in Boca Raton, FL
An exotic engine on a schedule that has to be kept, and honesty about parts before you commit. Backed by a 6-year, unlimited-mile warranty.
Boca Raton’s go-to for Maserati care
Maserati ownership is mostly straightforward and occasionally not, and the difference is almost always whether the car was kept on schedule by somebody who knew what the schedule was.
We work on European cars exclusively, run factory-level diagnostics on the car’s own modules, and we are straight with you about parts, including when something has to be ordered in and how long that will actually take.
An engine with Ferrari’s fingerprints on it
The V6 in a Ghibli, Quattroporte or Levante is built at Maranello, and the V8 in a GranTurismo is a relative of an engine that lived in Ferraris. That is a large part of what you bought, and it comes with expectations: intervals that are shorter than a German equivalent, fluids that are specified rather than suggested, and components that are unforgiving about being left past their date.
Bringing a Maserati back after a gap
When one of these has been sitting, or has been through a stretch of owners who deferred things, you get a full digital inspection with photographs, a written estimate that separates parts from labor, and a genuinely honest line about what is worth doing and what is not.

Common Maserati problems we repair
- Timing variator rattle on the V8 GranTurismo and its relatives, which sounds alarming on a cold start and should be investigated rather than lived with.
- Turbocharger oil feed and return lines on the V6 cars, which suffer from heat and are far cheaper inspected than replaced after a failure.
- Carbon buildup on the intake valves of the direct-injection V6, removed mechanically because nothing poured into a tank reaches them.
- Transmission service on the ZF eight-speed, which Maserati treats as lifetime fill and which in this climate is not.
- Skyhook and air suspension faults, diagnosed as a system rather than replaced damper by damper.
- Spark plug and ignition intervals that are shorter than owners expect and get missed, then show up as misfires.
What a Maserati service actually asks for.
Maserati is the marque where the gap between a good shop and an average one is widest, because the intervals are shorter, the parts are less common, and the consequences of guessing are more expensive.
The schedule is shorter, and that is the point
These cars want servicing more often than a German saloon of the same age, and the plugs, the fluids and the belts come round sooner. That is not a flaw, it is what an engine of this character asks for. Almost every Maserati that has become a horror story became one because it was serviced on the schedule the previous owner assumed rather than the one Maserati published.
A cold-start rattle here is not something to live with
On the V8 cars the timing variators are a known source of a rattle for a second or two from cold. It is common enough that owners get told it is character. It is not character, it is wear, and on this engine the components downstream of it are not cheap. We would far rather look at it now and tell you it is fine than look at it later and tell you it is not.
Heat is what kills the turbo plumbing
The V6 is a compact, hard-worked twin-turbo engine, and the oil feed and return lines to the turbochargers live in the worst thermal environment on the car. In South Florida that environment is worse again. Those lines degrade quietly, and the first obvious symptom is often oil where it should not be, or a turbocharger that has already been starved. Inspecting them is minutes. Replacing them after a failure is not.
We will tell you the parts situation before you commit
Some Maserati parts are on a shelf and some are a week away from Italy, and pretending otherwise is how a car ends up sitting in a bay with an owner who was told three days. Before you approve anything we tell you what is available, what has to come in, and what that means for how long the car is with us. If a repair is not worth doing on the car you have, we will say that too.
What you’re paying for, line by line
The parts of a Maserati service that never appear on an invoice are the ones that decide how the car drives in two years.
The interval Maserati actually publishes, plugs and fluids included
Factory-level diagnostics on the car’s own modules
Investigated as timing variator wear, and reported honestly
Inspected for heat damage before it becomes a failure
Serviced, pan down, filter out, magnets inspected
Availability confirmed and quoted before you approve anything
Itemized in writing, parts and labor separated, approved line by line
Six years, unlimited miles, and it transfers if you sell the car
From drop-off to drive-out
Five steps, and you know what you are getting at the end of each one.
Book it, or just drop it off
Call, text, or book online. After-hours drop-off if that suits you better, and a free local shuttle so you are not sitting here waiting on us.
We read the car, not the symptom
Factory-level diagnostics on the car’s own modules, plus a full digital inspection with the turbo plumbing and timing components specifically looked at. You get photographs of anything we find.
You get it in writing first
An itemized estimate with parts and labor separated, and what can wait flagged separately from what cannot. Nothing is touched until you approve it.
The work, to Maserati’s procedure
Specified fluids, OE or OE-equivalent parts, factory torque sequences, and the adaptations and resets that actually finish the job.
Six years, unlimited miles
Qualifying repairs carry our parts and labor warranty, it transfers if you sell the car, and every visit is logged so the service history stays intact.
What it costs
Maserati repair costs sit above the German marques, and any shop telling you otherwise is either guessing or about to surprise you. The parts cost more, some of them have to be ordered in, and the intervals come round sooner. What we can do is make sure you are never surprised by any of that.
So we quote the car in front of us: a full digital inspection with photographs of anything we find, then an itemized estimate with parts and labor separated, and confirmed parts availability before anything is touched. Against a dealer quote for the same OE-spec parts, most owners are surprised in the right direction.
Every Maserati repair backed for 6 years / unlimited miles
Parts and labor, on every qualifying repair, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell the car.
Maserati repair FAQs
No. Federal law protects your right to have your car serviced anywhere, provided the work is done correctly and to specification. We use specified fluids and OE or OE-equivalent parts and document every visit, so your factory coverage stays intact and you have the records to prove it.
More often than a German car of similar age and size. The fluid, plug and belt intervals all come round sooner, and that is what the engine was designed around. We will tell you exactly where your car sits against its published schedule rather than putting it on a generic one.
Yes, and we will be straight with you about it. Some parts are readily available and some come from Italy on a lead time. Before you approve any work we confirm what is in stock, what has to be ordered, and what that means for how long your car is with us.
On the V8 cars it is worth investigating rather than accepting. Timing variator wear is a known cause of that noise, and it is far better understood early. We will tell you honestly what we find, including if the answer is that the car is fine.
Meaningfully less, on the same OE-spec parts and the same factory diagnostics, because you are not paying for a dealership’s overhead. You get a written estimate with parts and labor separated before any work starts, so you can compare it against a dealer quote line by line.
